Negros Occidental Golf & Country Club, also known as Marapara Golf, has 70 courses and 6,197 long yards. The golf course was established in 1962. Designed by an Amateur Golf Champion, Luis Golem Silverio. Some trivia: before it became a golf course, it was a land of sugar cane. The province of Negros Occidental is a major supplier and exporter of sugar in the country.
